Customizing Your You-nique Gown

Last Thursday I was sitting there at the front desk (sitting on my pink chair, Penelope, of course) and Nichole (resident bride/hair model) says, "Hey Tabitha, I have an idea for the blog."
"Yeah?" I said.  "You should show how Jasmine and Casablanca do custom changes on their gowns." To which I replied, "THAT IS A REALLY GOOD IDEA!!"

Which of course leads us to today's topic...CUSTOM CHANGES!!

Yes.  A gown that has been customized to be completely yours alone.  Unique.  Individual.  Designed with love.  Just like you. (Yes, I get paid to say reeeaalllyyy sappy things. My life is amazing.)

*ADD MOMENT* So today I had an intern helping me with photographing for the blog.  Her name is Sophia and she's so ridiculously cute!

Sophia and Me!  Why, yes, I am standing on the pedestal to be taller than her because she is in fact 6 feet tall.  And I am only 5'8".  But she's 13...THIRTEEN!!  I refuse be be shorted than a 13 year old in my own blog.  First person to correctly guess whose daughter this is (who DOESN'T ALREADY KNOW HER) gets mad props and shout outs on our Facebook!! *END ADD MOMENT*

But it IS true that you can create a gown that is totally yours and yours alone...it's a fantastic option for so many brides who love parts of two different gowns! Let me show you how this works...

Exhibit A.

Here is a gorgeous Casablanca gown:

Yeah. I know, it's beautiful...I like this dress.  But what if you wanted a more defined sweetheart neckline without the sparkle?  Let's say like THIS dress:

Another gorgeous Casablanca gown also with a sweetheart neckline but with an elegent straight skirt.  Which we adore.  (Sophia picked the belt that we added.)
So you're a bride, and you want a beautifully shaped sweetheart wrapped bodice and a full pick-up skirt...WELL GUESS WHAT:

BAM!! We made it happen!!  We just put the skirt from the first on the bodice of the second and guess what lady dudes?! YOU'VE GOT YOURSELF A DREAM DRESS!  (We also changed the belt.  We may or may not have a belt fetish.)

She's ready for her close up:

It's just one example of how we are able to provide your dream dress through imagination and Casablanca!

Another designer that does beautiful custom gowns is Jasmine Bridal...
Wait...Jasmine Bridal...why does that sound SO familiar?? HHhmmmmmm...

BECAUSE WE'RE HAVING A JASMINE BRIDAL TRUNK SHOW IN ONLY 3 WEEKS!! And I blogged about it last week (more here). So yeah...CHECK IT OUT.  You cannot miss this amazing weekend...we're booking fast lady dudes!!

As I was saying, Jasmine also offers this fabulous option.

Exhibit B.

An amazing couture Jasmine Bridal gown.  Simple, elegant but at the same time light and lovely.  The bow contrast is so pretty the way it is draped down the gown and the pin adds such perfect detailing.  I like the simple scoop bodice and wrapping of the fabric around the bust.

Next up is this PLAYFULLY beautiful couture gown, again by Jasmine bridal!  Yes, those super fun light fluffy pleats go all the way down the skirt!  I LOVE IT!!

That's its actual belt.  Jazmyn (not Jasmine Bridal, but Jazmyn (Gown Specialist Extraordinaire)) helped Sophia and I put both of these already amazing dresses together to create...

FTW. (For the win. Come on you guys...you know you know RPG lingo.  Sigh...Role Playing Games.)  How fantastic is this combo?!  Perfectly fitted modified-A-line bodice into that lovely light skirt!  It's perfect for a fall wedding!

Here is a close-up of the winning combination:

Don't you just want to frolic through an Autumnal field with your sweetie followed by your photographer in this dress?  Yes? You do?  Then come get it!

Another cool thing that is able to be done is taking a regular gown and giving it a beautiful modest build up.  This is a great option for anyone wanting to show a little less skin or even just buck the system and say "NO" to strapless!

Exhibit C.

So pretty, right? Super sweet.  We love the amazing femininity of this gown...well, I love it.  And so did everyone else who walked by.  So 9 out of 9 people today loved it.  That is an excellent percentage of loving.

Current front and back of this lovely:

You can modestify this gown to look like THIS:

HELLOOOO!! Amazing. Yes. It is.

And the back is done perfectly as well!

This specific gown is by a designer called Crystal Couture.  We do tons of modest gowns for our lovely brides and they always come out so beautifully!!  We currently have approximately 3 dozen modest gowns in our store ready to go off the rack!!  (Hint: That means you can get married RIGHT NOW.)

  1. If I ever happen to get married again, I am in fact going to purchase Exhibit C (non-modestified) and I will go on whatever macro-micro-psycho maple-syrup and cayenne diet necessary to fit into it! And even if I don't get re-married...I would have a daughter just so I could give her that dress. And I would buy it for her when she was born and raise her telling her that someday that beautiful dress would be hers to wear on her magical wedding day. Obsessed much? yes.
